RC Car Build

My brother and I are both attending college at BYU, and decided to take a shot at building our own RC car. This blog will track the progress of said car. If you are impatient, this blog is not for you. As we are both students, there are many things that will slow this down. Here is a list of our goals and constraints. -Spend under $100 (tough, I know) -Finish by April '11 -Have full suspension -We have no car. -We live in an apartment, which means our room is our workspace.

Steel Tubing

So we were able to purchase our metal square tubing yesterday! We're going a bit overboard, and went with 1" by 1" square tubing .063" thick. We cut it up at the shop into the proper length segments with the bandsaw, but we'll be doing the angle cuts right before we weld it. We also bought some new fuel lines for our engine. As I was taking it, the old brittle fuel lines snapped. So now we just need to get some gas...
